Living on tank water themselves, Shane and Sheridan know how crucial water is to families and businesses and more importantly to get prompt, reliable delivery when you need it.

 

After being hit by the drought in 2019/2020 and the weeks of waiting time to get water delivered, Shane decided to set up a water delivery service and so it started later that year after many months of sourcing a truck and mountains of paperwork to become a Ministry of Health Registered Water Carrier.

 

Shane has many years of truck driving experience from heavy haulage, truck and trailer tipper work to animal transportation so the flow into the water business was not difficult. With all that driving under his belt you can be rest assured he can get into some of those trickier delivery locations.

 

It wasn’t long though before Sheridan took over the wheel and upgraded her licence after years of driving a horse truck to enable her to drive the tanker too. You may even see the couple’s two boys helping to roll hoses in the summer to earn some pocket money.

 

PROWATER has also supported local community events and fundraisers with the water truck being used for the Beachlands Maraetai Rugby Club carwash fundraisers over the winter to raise funds to send teams to the South Island and Taupo tournaments. Also, the Maraetai Beach School’s Twilight Fundraiser Night with sponsorship of an inflatable water slide.
